Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation
that also promotes healing. It is a form of hands-on-healing used
to cleanse, balance and heal while invigorating the mind, body and soul.
Reiki is based on the idea that an energy life force flows within each of us.

Reiki works through the biofield (Aura), the local energy channels (Chakras) and the energy pathways (Meridians). Reiki I - Self Healing
This is the first level of Reiki and teaches self-healing. One cannot begin to heal others until they have taken the responsibility to heal themselves. Basic tenets of Healing Others are introduced. History of Reiki, Principals, Discussion of Chakras and Healing Meditations are integral. A Certificate of Completion and Lineage and a Manuel are included in the course fee.
Reiki II - Healing Others and Distance Healing
In the second degree Reiki course, the student learns the use of three symbols which enhance the strength and distance over which Reiki can be exerted. Another attunement is given, to further increase the capacity for Reiki to flow through the student, as well as empowering the use of the symbols. Having completed the second level, the student can work without being physically present with the recipient.
Reiki Master Level
This training session is for those who feel called to teach Reiki, to pass on the energy on a professional level, and to thus become Reiki Master/Teachers. While this classroom course lasts only one day, and has only a set fee, students agree to work on various healing assignments over several months, as discussed in detail with Lorraine before participation in the class.
Reiki Healing Circles
Open to all levels of Reiki Practitioners and those wishing to experience Reiki, perhaps for the first time. Evenings will include group discussion, energy work and Reiki Healing (participants receive Reiki while seated in a chair.) Information will be available concerning Full Reiki Healing Sessions, available at Miami Life Center and Reiki Attunement Classes.
